November 3, 2021. Mr. Kulit Sombatsiri, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Energy, presided over the launch of the G-CHARGE SUPERCHARGING STATION, the first electric FAST CHARGE charging station of Great Wall Motors in Thailand at Siam Square Soi 7. The event was organized by Mr. Steven Wang, Vice President of Great Wall Motors, ASEAN Region and Thailand, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wisanu Subsompon, Vice President for the Property and Physical Management Office, Chulalongkorn University, who also participated in the event.

The G-Charge Supercharging station supports charging of up to 6 simultaneous electric vehicles. Its outstanding Smart Parking system enhances the O2O (Online-to-Offline) experience and has the capability to control bookings and payments through the GWM application. Additionally, it also joined forces with PEA ENCOM International Co., Ltd. (PEA ENCOM) in combining clean energy from photovoltaic systems. It is, therefore, considered to be one of the largest public DC fast charge charging stations for 100% electric passenger cars with photovoltaic systems in Thailand. It will be available to owners of ORA Good Cat vehicles free of charge from now until the end of November 2021. It will then be available to all-electric vehicle brands from December onwards.

In addition, Great Wall Motors plans to expand its network of charging stations, both DC Fast Charge and AC Normal Charge, with more than 100 charging points for electric vehicles under the G-Charge brand by 2023. Its stations will be divided into three groups: G-Charge Supercharging Station for fast charging services, DC Fast Charge service points at GWM partner stores in various provinces across the country, as well as, the opening of AC Normal Charge, or Destination Charge charging points, in hotels, shopping malls, and popular tourist attractions, so that customers can drive EVs without any worries on every route.
