The Minister of Higher Education tries out the “MuvMi” electric tuk-tuk service.

July 23, 2019, Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, met up with Chulalongkorn University administrators, faculty members, and students, and discussed the guidelines for the development of the university, education and research at the higher education level. He was welcomed by Prof. Dr. Bundhit Eua-arporn, President of Chulalongkorn University, and other executives and faculty members.

On this occasion, Dr. Suvit Maesincee, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, also tried out the “MuvMi” electric tuk-tuk service, which is one of the smart mobility systems under the “Chula Smart City” project intended for Chula residents as well as the general public, to facilitate their travels within the university and the surrounding areas economically and safely. MuvMi utilizes 100% electrical power in its service to pick up and drop off passengers. This electric vehicle has been analyzed by the National Institute of Technology and Materials (MTEC), ensuring that it is safe for users as well as environmentally friendly.
