October 16, 2020, at the Thailand Smart City Week 2020, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wisanu Subsompon, Vice President for Property and Physical Management, Chulalongkorn University, received a certificate from Mr. Teeranan Srihong, Chairman of the Digital Economy Promotion Agency, or DEPA, on the occasion that the “Chula Smart City” project has been selected as a smart city promotion area at Samyan Mitrtown Hall 1, Samyan Mitrtown.
The Thailand Smart City Week 2020, is the first exhibition showcasing smart city development technologies in the form of a real digital event in Thailand that comes with the concept of REAL Solutions for REAL People in the REAL Smart Cities, to drive Thailand into a world-class smart city and setup its readiness to continue the development of smart city networks both domestically and internationally. At the event, attendees will experience digital technology for the development of smart cities in various dimensions and be thrilled with an assortment of knowledge and activities scattered in 4 main zones, which include;
Zone 1 Smart City PLAYs: Consist of activities that allow the public to experience technology and innovation to solve city problems and how they can be used to upgrade the quality of life and well-being of the inhabitants, such as Smart Pole, E-Scooter, Robot, etc.
Zone 2 Smart City LEARNs: Lifelong learning activities for those interested in urban development through technology and innovation, as well as, how it can be further developed into a career of the future.
Zone 3: Smart City HACKs: Exploring ideas in the form of Urbanhacks that allow people to share their opinions on urban development and quality of life through the Idea Wall.
Zone 4 Smart City MEETs: Activities that provide opportunities for meetings between entrepreneurs, the private sector, and agencies or individuals involved in urban development in order to create business matching negotiations on matters regarding smart city development.
